The horse in the front is a Mustang
An I don't remember this one
I learned a lot about horses!
The local fire department was here - obviously Smokey the Bear is a big deal here
Love the fall colors
We stopped here but it really only a spring time thing.
They had hundreds of Iris plants
Their "fairy garden"
In Hondo - we found a really neat gift store
These were some of the metal art
Continuing our sight-seeing to Lincoln - an historical western town
These are the remains of a housing shelter - used against the "bad guys"
The town safe
This is the town's claim to fame - Billy the Kid.
He died at 21 so he must have been a pretty busy bad guys in his youth!
This was supposed to be the bullet hole when Billy shot his way out of jail
before Pat Garrett caught up with him and ended his life.
Smokey the Bear!
The Smokey the Bear Balloon!
This is Smokey's final resting place
The ride back to Ruidoso
